“Adopting Digital Certificates means that OTHM has a secure and efficient method for delivering printed and electronic documents. We have reduced the in-house time/workforce required to deliver documents to our students, which has had a significant impact on our operational costs in a positive way! Our team can now concentrate their efforts on other areas of the business that deliver value to our students.
As an organisation, we also decided to implement a “Digital1st” strategy, meaning we only print on demand. All of our students receive secure electronic versions of their certificates; however, through the Digital Certificates portal, students also have the option to purchase a printed version generating additional revenue for our institution which we are able to reinvest back into our learning facilities. With this new environmentally friendly approach to certification, we have been able to successfully reduce our carbon footprint.
Digital Certificates now also provides the means to verify documents securely and efficiently thanks to the Advanced Secure Smart Verify+ feature. For example, Smart Verify+ enables third parties to verify a student award by scanning a QR code printed on each of our certificates. The QR code looks at “real-time data” and confirms if a certificate is “valid” or “cancelled”, It then goes one stage further by confirming elements of the award issued. It has been a real game changer for OTHM and has alleviated pressures on our administration team by removing the manual and laborious work previously associated with this task!.”
